It all began with the birth of the SingleID Hero in Daniel’s mind. Daniel, the IT genius of the SingleID team, used to work with hundreds of clients’ logins and credentials. Bored, annoyed, and realizing the inherent risks of so many unique IDs, he found himself thinking of how to resolve the identification credentials conundrum that threatens the sanity and patience of any normal person. And if you have no idea what we’re talking about, you’ve probably never used the Internet.
Whatever was available wasn’t good and nothing addressed the root of the issue. Instead of keeping the existing system of identification and authentication and working around it, Daniel set out to create a solution that would completely revise the way we identify ourselves online.
But this story would never have seen the light of day without Björn. Due to his extensive background in law, M&A, finance and venture capital, but even more so his painful experience as an ordinary user, Björn was all-too-familiar with the issues that SingleID was addressing. Thus he didn’t need to be convinced that the project was worth his time, financial contribution, and professional know-how.
So the SingleID Hero enters the stage. An app, but not just any app. An app that asks nothing from you but provides the following in return: safe logins with no registration and no password. You receive your ID and you’re good to go. Fill in your data in the master form that remains encrypted to the outside world and is only stored on your mobile device, and use it from there anytime you need it.
What all online users get with SingleID is empowerment: to be in control of their online identity and not to be forced down the endless corridors of registrations and identifications.
